Volcanoes & Glaciers

 

Explosive volcanoes and slow moving glaciers, which like giant bulldozers pulverize and pluck rocks in their path have, and continue to shape our landscapes.  They are things of awe and wonder; both towering above our imaginations.

 

I have contrasted the rugged textures of volcanic rock using black, highly grogged clay and fine, coloured stoneware with pure clean glass, embedding a proudly coiling ammonite, unmoved by evolution.
